Post Porfolio Musings

For my internship class, wehad tp go to a portfolio review and be reviewed by a bunch of professional artists ( we had to pick at least 2).
Out of about 15 professionals I saw 4. Each one disregarded my fine art section of my portfolio, but raved about the fashion illustration section and liked my character design. I was a bit surprised; the one style that comes so naturally to me is the one that everyone really liked.
I'm a bit bummed that they did not admire my other stuff quite as much. As an illustrator, you do expect yourself to do a bit of everything good. Still, I now have a skill concentration I can create a career path out of.
